In a sector where women remain rare on the shop floor, Delhivery has been steadily changing the picture. Between FY20 and FY24, the company grew its women’s workforce more than sevenfold, driven by targeted hiring in operations. At one of its largest warehouse hubs in Haryana, the gender ratio shifted dramatically in just a few months.
Behind these numbers is a methodical approach that combines infrastructure changes, responsive management, and on-the-ground feedback. From restrooms and night shifts to training and leadership visibility, interventions are tailored to the realities of a physically demanding, male-dominated environment. This case study examines how Delhivery’s attention to operational detail, trust-building, and performance data has turned diversity from an abstract goal into measurable progress, and how it may be reshaping the future of logistics work for women in India.
